Trying to be disciplined

After my orgy of yarn buying yesterday, I was of course absolutely busting to cast one of my new purchases on… However, I am only half way through my sister’s birthday cardigan and I really want to get it finished. I am normally someone who had absolutely loads of projects on the go but I’m really trying to not cast on yet another thing. Last autumn I had a spate of finishing things, which was lovely and although I like to have different things on the go, I’m trying not to have similar things on the go at the same time.

At present I have my sister’s cardy, a cardy for my Mum and two pairs of socks as WIPs. That’s not including the three shawls, tank top for my Dad and various other bits & pieces I have designated on Ravelry as ‘hibernating’. Oh and I have the crochet blanket that’s ongoing.

So, today I got on with the right front of my sister’s cardigan:

  1. i love the colours and the pattern is gorgeous. I need to get some blue baby wool in the next week, as Little Mudlets teacher will be on Maternity leave at the end of this month. Thank goodness for evenings 🙂

  2. That’s a lot of WIPs. I would go mad! But I know what you mean about starting new projects when you get the yarn, it is so tempting. Cardi is pretty, by the way, can’t wait to see how it comes out.

      1. well if you really love it, then it is all good. We have to love it or it just isn’t worth doing. It’s not like you save money or something with this craft of ours. 🙂
