I’m just loving the ric-rack lace on the Await shrug! As you can see I’ve been ploughing on today.
The red darning needle is pointing to the middle row.
We established this mid point by trying it on Mum!
While I’ve been knitting up a rainbow, Mum has been turning the heel on her sock.
We’re both pleased with progress!
wow – you two have been making short work of your projects! They look great!

That shrug pattern is brilliant! With that yarn the stripes look fantastic! It is working out wonderfully!

You should both be very pleased with yourselves, both projects coming along very nicely indeed. Hope you are still enjoying your break, I am very envious, sun or no sun.

How lovely to be able to sit and knit together with no interruptions – no wonder it’s all looking so perfect!

It was pretty fantastic. No housework beyond a little washing up, no interruptions, no dogs needing walking or to go out (!) although we both adore our dogs, and nothing to worry about. She has gone home now sadly, but in three days my husband will arrive with our friends for the holiday we had planned before I came out early, so I’m looking forward to that.

Aah, I’m so envious (not a nice trait, I know!). Hope you’re sufficiently rested and recuperated to enjoy the rest of your hols:)
