I like how the beads are bits of sparkle surprises.

That’s just gorgeous and your knitting stitches so perfect. Did you mention the pattern? Not that Yarn Rascal will let me do it with beads. Of course I could purchase a Shetland Sheep or two for him to keep busy….did you mention the patter?

Looking good….also love beading on shawls. Have you come across the “fleagle” beading tool…think thats how you spell it. Will take about 20 or so beads and very easy to use….love mine.

Hi Christine. No I haven’t come across one but I don’t mind the crochet hook method. Is it much quicker?

Same sort of technique but quicker because you are not stopping to pick up individual beads….and more to lose if you drop it!

Mine, too. π And when I saw yours, I had to laugh. Check out the post I am putting up in about 5 minutes…. twin daughters of different mothers, as the saying goes. π No beads, but….

Actually it could be the same yarn π – I’m saying it again you need to lose the chenille… Weren’t we going to have a knit along together? You fancy taking part in the Boo Knits April KAL? It’s called Danse Macabre and you need lace weight and SHED LOADS of beads βΊοΈβΊοΈβΊοΈ which I will really enjoy. I love knitting lace so much my 10 year old niece will be getting a beaded shawl this year!

is it on ravelry? I will check it out. If I have the yarn for it, I think I could do it. trying to not spend money on yarn – saving up for spinning lessons and wool. π But I have a “few” skeins of yarn that are destined to be shawls – might as well be a gorgeous Boo knit!

I checked it out, and dug through the stash. I have lots of yarn, you know. π I have some that is the right size but not enough. I have some that is thinner, and maybe enough but I fear it would not hold the beads. I have loads that is too big. In the search for info on the right yarn, I discovered that the Juniper Moon Farm Findley is just the right size, and half the price of the silk that she recommends. And as I have to order yarn for a custom order, I might just as well order a skein of Findley to go along with it and join in. Long way of saying I AM IN! I’ll go order the pattern now and the yarn in the next few days. π

Wooooohoooo!
You have lots of yarn? Id never have thought that…….
I’m not using what she recommends either! I think I’m going to knit in pink with orange beads. Or grey with dark purple beads. Not decided yet. π

I have lots of silver beads, that I ordered at Christmas when I ordered the ones for the Pease Blossom shawl, so I will pick a yarn that goes well with those. π

Looking good! I love beaded lace too, the results are so pretty. Have you ever tried using a fleegle beader instead of a crochet hook, you can thread quite a few on at once and it’s pretty quick once you get the hang of it http://www.tallyarns.co.uk/products/fleegle-beaders
