I saw the new Woolly Wormhead KAL last weekend and knew I had to join in! It’s to knit a hat from scrap yarn, so making something of beauty out of whatever you have to hand. I LOVED the idea and cast on almost immediately!
Yarns used from brim to crown:
Pink – Pinky on Deeply Wicked by Easy Knits
Yellow – Ziggy Stardust 4ply by I Knit or Dye London
Green & Pink – Artesano 4 ply
Pale pink/ orange – Lang yarns Mille Colori Socks & Lace Luxe
Pink & purple – Colinette sock yarn part skein
White – Louisa Harding Orielle
Pale Blue – Glacier on Tanadick 4ply 50% merino, 50% silk by Yantantethera Yarns
Dark Blue – Fiachra on Gwyn sock yarn by Triskelion Yarns
Beige – Silk sample of unknown origin!
Pink Fairisle – Skein Queen 4 ply
Dark purple pink – Ziggy Stardust 4ply by I Knit or Dye London
Mustard – Harvest Gold on Milburn 4ply from Eden Cottage Yarns.
Brown – Second silk sample of unknown origin!
I loved knitting this. I think the colours, although random, do actually work together.
Brilliant way to use up scraps – but what about a photo of you wearing it…?

It’s not my size – my sister has a smaller head. It looks ridiculous on me.
